IDELOVA brings together people who want a sincere relationship built on shared values. These guidelines form part of our Terms of Use. They apply to everything you publish or send in the Service, and to your behaviour on the dates that follow.
1. Be yourself
- 18 or over. No exceptions. A profile belonging to a minor is deleted and, where necessary, reported.
- One person, one account, your real identity. Your first name, age and photos must be yours and recent. Group photos are fine if you are recognisable; your main photo must show your face.
- No fake profiles, no impersonation, no accounts created on behalf of someone else, no "couple looking for a third" profiles unless each person has their own account and says so clearly.
- Your profile, your values. Answer the questionnaire honestly: that is what makes IDELOVA work. You are not required to answer the questions on religion or politics.
2. Respect others
- No harassment: insults, threats, intimidation, persistent messages after a refusal or a lack of reply, creating a new account to contact someone who blocked you.
- No hate speech or discrimination based on origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or appearance. Expressing your beliefs is allowed; disparaging those of others is not.
- Consent first. No unsolicited sexual content, no requests for intimate photos, no pressure.
- Respect privacy. Do not share screenshots of profiles or conversations outside the Service, do not disclose other people's personal data (full name, address, employer, phone number) and do not try to find someone outside the Service against their will.
- No means no. If someone does not reply, moves on or unmatches you, do not insist.
3. Prohibited content
- Nudity, sexually explicit content, underwear or suggestive photos, including in messages.
- Violence, weapons shown in a threatening way, glorification of terrorism, shocking content.
- Content that is illegal under Swiss or European law: incitement to hatred, child sexual abuse material (reported immediately to the authorities), copyright infringement, defamation.
- References to illegal drugs, sale of substances, promotion of self-harm or eating disorders.
- Contact details (phone number, social media handle, e-mail) in photos or in the public bio: exchange them in the conversation, when you want to.
- Children in photos, even your own: protect them.
4. No money, no business
- Never ask for money, gifts, prepaid cards, cryptocurrency, "investment advice" or loans, whatever the story. This is the hallmark of romance scams; we ban permanently.
- No promotion of products, services, social media accounts, third-party sites, paid content, events or recruitment.
- No prostitution, escorting, "sugar dating" or offers of a relationship in exchange for payment or benefits.
- No fundraising, even for a good cause.
5. Protect the integrity of the Service
- No bots, scripts, automated liking, data extraction or circumvention of the free offer's limits.
- No attempts to access other users' data or to disrupt the Service.
- No abusive reports or coordinated blocking to harm someone.
6. On dates
The rules of respect also apply offline. Violent, abusive or dangerous behaviour on a date that started on IDELOVA, if credibly reported to us, leads to exclusion from the Service and may be passed on to the authorities. Read our Safety Tips.
7. How we enforce these rules
| Severity | Examples | Usual measure |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | blurry photo or no face, contact details in the bio, suggestive content | removal of the photo or content, warning |
| Medium | insults, insistence, false age, commercial content, multiple accounts | warning then 7- to 30-day suspension; account deletion for repeat offences |
| Serious | threats, harassment, hate speech, requests for money, nudity sent without consent, impersonation | permanent account deletion and ban on re-registration for 5 years |
| Critical | minor, sexual exploitation, violence on a date, terrorism, child sexual abuse | immediate deletion, preservation of evidence and report to the authorities |
- Decisions are made by people, assisted by automatic filters that flag content for review.
- Unless a legal exception applies, you are informed of the measure, its reason and the possibility of contesting it within six months (see our Digital Services Act information).
- We may act on the basis of reports from other users, our own checks or requests from authorities. Repeated abusive reports are themselves sanctioned.
- A banned person may not create a new account: a hash of their e-mail address is kept for 5 years, or until the ban is lifted on appeal, to refuse any new sign-up. After an account is deleted, a pseudonymised moderation record (without messages or photos) is kept for 5 years (see the Privacy Policy).
- Subscriptions are not refunded after a sanction, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
8. Help us
Report anything that seems contrary to these rules via "Report" on the profile or in the conversation. Reporting is confidential: the person reported does not know who reported them. In an urgent situation or if you are the victim of an offence, contact the police (117 in Switzerland, 112 in Europe) and then write to us at safety@idelova.com.
The French version of these guidelines prevails.
