This is a translation provided for convenience. The French version ("Conditions générales d'utilisation") is the authoritative text and prevails in case of discrepancy.
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the IDELOVA service, available on https://www.idelova.com and in the iOS and Android apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms, our Community Guidelines and our Subscription Terms, and you acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these documents, do not use the Service.

2. Definitions
- User or you: any natural person who holds an account.
- Profile: the information you publish (first name, age, photos, bio, city, answers to the values questionnaire, preferences).
- Match: the connection created when two Users express mutual interest.
- Premium: the paid subscription described in the Subscription Terms.
- Content: any text, photo or other material you publish or send through the Service.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The Service is strictly reserved for persons aged 18 or over with legal capacity. You declare that you are at least 18; your date of birth is checked technically at sign-up, and any profile we have reason to believe belongs to a minor is suspended immediately and then deleted.
3.2 You may not use the Service if you have previously been excluded for breaching these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or if the law applicable to you prohibits it. A banned person may not create a new account: to enforce this rule, we keep for 5 years a hash of the e-mail address of the banned account and refuse any new sign-up with that address, unless the ban is lifted following an appeal (section 8.3; Privacy Policy, section 8).
3.3 The Service is intended for persons residing in Switzerland and in the neighbouring countries of the European Union. We may restrict access from other countries.
3.4 The Service is for personal, non-commercial use: using it for prospecting, advertising, recruitment, prostitution, fraud or on behalf of a third party is prohibited.
4. Your account
4.1 One account per person. You register with a valid e-mail address that belongs to you. Authentication is by magic link or one-time code sent to that address; you are responsible for the confidentiality of your mailbox and device.
4.2 Accuracy. Your Profile information must be accurate, up to date and about you personally. Impersonating a third party, using photos that do not show you, or stating an inaccurate age is prohibited.
4.3 Profile verification (optional). You may request verification of your Profile by taking a selfie reproducing a gesture we indicate. The selfie is compared with your profile photos by a human moderator; it is not used to create a biometric template and it is deleted after review (see the Privacy Policy). A "verified" badge only means that your photos looked like you at the time of review; it is not a guarantee of identity, good character or absence of a record.
4.4 Security. Tell us without delay at support@idelova.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
5. The Service
5.1 What IDELOVA does. IDELOVA lets you create a Profile, answer a values questionnaire, discover other Profiles together with a compatibility score, express interest ("like", "crush", "pass") and, in case of mutual interest, exchange messages with your Matches.
5.2 Compatibility score. The score is computed automatically from both people's answers to the questionnaire, the importance each assigned to each question and the answers each accepts from a partner. Questions marked "Dealbreaker" exclude from your discovery any Profile whose answer is not acceptable to you. The questions on spirituality or religion and on political position are optional and are stored only with your express consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings (your answers to those questions are then deleted immediately). Your answers are never displayed as such to other Users: only the score and the list of values you share are. The score is a decision aid; it has no legal effect and does not deprive you of any feature. How it works is described in the Privacy Policy (section "Profiling and automated decisions") and in our Digital Services Act information.
5.3 Free and Premium. Photos and the compatibility score are always available for free. Some features (unlimited likes, seeing who liked you, advanced values filters, rewind, incognito mode, read receipts, monthly Boost, extra crushes) are reserved for Premium subscribers. The limits of the free offer (for example 25 likes per day and 1 crush per week) may be adjusted; the current limits are shown in the Service.
5.4 No guarantee of results. We guarantee neither a number of Matches, nor that a relationship will form, nor the truthfulness of information provided by other Users. IDELOVA is not a marriage brokerage or matchmaking agency: we do not personally select or introduce partners and we do not take part in your exchanges.
5.5 Changes to the Service. We may change, add or remove features, in particular for technical, security or legal reasons. If a change substantially reduces a Premium feature you have paid for, section 7 of the Subscription Terms applies.
6. Your commitments
You undertake to comply with the Community Guidelines, which form an integral part of the Terms. In particular, it is prohibited to:
- harass, threaten, insult, discriminate against or humiliate anyone;
- publish sexually explicit, violent, hateful or unlawful Content;
- ask for money, gifts, bank details or identity documents, or propose investments;
- publish Content you do not hold the rights to, or third parties' personal data without their consent;
- use bots, scripts, automated extraction ("scraping"), fake accounts or any means of circumventing the Service's limits (including the technical limit of 30 messages per minute);
- attempt to access our systems or other Users' data, or disrupt the Service;
- distribute other Users' Content (screenshots of profiles or conversations) outside the Service without their consent, except to report it to us or to the authorities.
7. Your Content
7.1 You remain the owner of your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, transferable only to the processors that operate the Service, to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resize) and display your Content to other Users, solely to the extent necessary to operate, secure and promote the Service. We never use your photos or Profile in our advertising without your express prior consent. The licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, subject to backup copies and to Content retained for safety or legal reasons (see the Privacy Policy).
7.2 You warrant that you hold all rights to your Content, that it is lawful and that it does not infringe third-party rights (image rights, copyright, personality rights).
7.3 We are not obliged to monitor Content generally, but we may review it, filter it automatically and remove it in accordance with section 8.
8. Moderation, reports and sanctions
8.1 Report and block. Every Profile and every conversation has a "Report" and a "Block" function. Blocking is immediate, mutual and permanent; both people disappear for each other everywhere in the Service and the Match is deleted. Reports can also be sent to safety@idelova.com.
8.2 Measures. In case of a breach of the Terms, the Community Guidelines or the law, or where we have reasonable grounds to believe there is one, we may, proportionately: remove Content, reject a photo, remove the verification badge, restrict features, suspend the account temporarily or delete it permanently, and prevent re-registration for 5 years (section 3.2). Serious conduct (threats, violence, exploitation, fraud, minors) leads to immediate deletion of the account and, where appropriate, a report to the authorities.
8.3 Reasons and appeal. Unless a legal exception applies (for example where notification would compromise an investigation), we inform you of the measure taken, its reasons and the available remedies. You may contest a measure within six months via the online form or at safety@idelova.com; your appeal is reviewed by a person who did not take the original decision. Details are in our Digital Services Act information.
8.4 Refunds after a sanction. Suspension or deletion of the account for breach of the Terms gives no right to a refund, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
9. Safety and meeting in person
9.1 We do not run background checks (criminal record, financial situation, marital status) on Users. We cannot guarantee that a Profile is genuine or that a person will behave properly online or when meeting.
9.2 You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Users, online and offline. Read our Safety Tips. Never transfer money to someone you met through the Service.
9.3 In case of immediate danger, contact the police (117 in Switzerland, 112 anywhere in Europe).
10. Intellectual property
The Service, its name, logo, questionnaire, compatibility algorithm, texts, illustrations and code are protected by copyright, trade mark law and other intellectual property rights and belong to Summit & Co. or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service in accordance with the Terms. Any other use (reproduction, decompilation, extraction, derivative works, resale) is prohibited without our written consent. Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used freely by us, without compensation.
11. Personal data
The processing of your personal data — including the sensitive data you choose to provide in the values questionnaire (religious beliefs, political opinions) and data your Profile may reveal (sexual orientation) — is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from the Service settings.
12. Availability
We do our best to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, outages at our providers or force majeure. Where possible, we announce planned maintenance in advance. Using the Service requires a compatible device and an internet connection, at your expense.
13. Term and termination
13.1 By you. You can delete your account at any time from "Settings → Delete my account" (in the app and on the website), or by writing to support@idelova.com. Deletion is immediate and permanent, except for the data that the law or the safety of other members requires us to keep, listed in the Privacy Policy, section 8 (in particular a pseudonymised moderation record kept for 5 years). A subscription purchased on the website is cancelled immediately with the account; the remaining period is not refunded, subject to the right of withdrawal and mandatory consumer rights (Subscription Terms, section 7). Deleting the account does not end a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play: cancel it with the app store, as the app reminds you, otherwise it will continue to be charged.
13.2 By us. We may terminate the contract with 30 days' notice by e-mail if we stop operating the Service or stop offering it in your country; amounts paid for an unexpired Premium period are then refunded pro rata. We may terminate without notice in case of serious or repeated breach of the Terms (section 8) or where the law requires it.
13.3 Inactivity. If your account shows no activity for 24 months, we send you a warning e-mail; if you do not sign in within the following 30 days, the account is deleted as set out in section 13.1. An account with an active Premium subscription is not deleted for inactivity.
14. Warranties and liability
14.1 The Service is provided with the care reasonably expected from a diligent provider. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty as to the accuracy of information provided by Users, the fitness of the Service for a particular purpose or the achievement of any result.
14.2 We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life or bodily integrity, and for any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law (Art. 100 and 101 of the Swiss Code of Obligations). Any other liability is excluded, in particular for slight negligence, indirect or consequential damage, loss of data attributable to the User, acts of other Users or third parties, and unavailability of the Service due to providers or force majeure.
14.3 For consumers domiciled in the European Union, the mandatory warranty and liability provisions of the law of their country of residence prevail over this section.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may amend the Terms, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. Material changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect, by e-mail or by a message in the Service, with an indication of the changes. If you do not accept a change, you may delete your account before it takes effect; changes that increase your obligations or reduce a current Premium feature are not binding on you without your acceptance. Using the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Minor changes (corrections, clarifications, mandatory legal adaptations) may take effect without notice.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
16.1 The Terms and any relationship between you and us are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
16.2 Jurisdiction. The place of jurisdiction is Lausanne, Switzerland. Consumers retain the right to sue and be sued before the courts of their domicile, in accordance with Art. 32 of the Swiss Civil Procedure Code for persons domiciled in Switzerland and Art. 15 to 17 of the Lugano Convention for persons domiciled in a contracting state.
16.3 Mandatory law. If you are a consumer domiciled in a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area, you also benefit from the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence (Art. 120 of the Swiss Private International Law Act; Art. 6 of the Rome I Regulation), in particular regarding the right of withdrawal, distance contracts and unfair terms.
16.4 Alternative dispute resolution for consumers. We are not obliged and do not agree to participate in proceedings before a consumer dispute resolution body (for example within the meaning of § 36 of the German VSBG), unless required by law. For disputes about our moderation decisions, see the out-of-court options described in our Digital Services Act information.
17. Miscellaneous
17.1 Language. The Terms exist in French, German, Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy.
17.2 Entire agreement. The Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Subscription Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
17.3 Severability. If a clause is void or unenforceable, the other clauses remain valid; the void clause is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to its economic purpose.
17.4 Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under the Terms. We may assign them to a company of the same group or to a successor in the operation of the Service, informing you; you may then delete your account.
17.5 No waiver. Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
17.6 App stores. Apple and Google are not parties to the contract and have no support or warranty obligation regarding the Service, subject to their own terms of use, which apply to purchases made through them.
